In this dream I had been turned into a giant hornet-type creature. It must have started in a lab, because there was a breakout and I found myself escaping with a whole colony of other hornet creatures. Most if not all were of the geniune wild variety, but since I looked exactly like them I wasn’t going to start behaving out of the ordinary, and so I joined the crowd as they started travelling.

We were treking on foot along a path, one followed by what appeared to be a pipeline of some variety. Perhaps it was related to that lab? It didn’t seem odd to me at the time that giant insects were walking and not flying, but in retrospect I assume they were keeping a low profile from the humans (or humanoids? I remember a anthropomorphic bunny in a lab coat…).

Eventually the path gave way to a desert, and I’ve made a passing attempt at drawing the scene.

Eventually we had to stop when one of the group fell ill. There was talk of fetching medical supplies from a human settlement, and I volunteered myself for the mission. I’m not sure why, I suppose I had the best chance of coming back alive.

The dream continued more, but I think I will write it up later, perhaps when I have some more pictures to go with it. In the meantime here’s some more random sketches I drew. I had this dream in my head all day long so naturally I tried to draw something. I grabbed a lot of hornet photos from google.
